Emilson Blaise, born on December 24, 1993, in the Saint-Hélène area of Jacmel, spent his childhood in Port-au-Prince, in the Delmas 91 district. He is the seventh child in a family of five brothers and six sisters. A self-taught artist, his passion for art is deeply rooted in his DNA.
From an early age, Emilson showed his dedication to art. He recalls that when he was in primary school, a certain Mrs. Guerda often scolded him because he would draw on all his papers instead of doing his homework. At that time, he promised her that he would become a talented and well-known artist. Today, he is proud of his accomplishments and his journey.
Without any formal academic training, Emilson learned his craft through constant practice and a personal quest for creativity. His artistic approach reflects authenticity, shaped by his urban upbringing and a unique perspective on the world. Through his work, Emilson expresses a personal and sincere vision, deeply influenced by his roots and life story.
